Hike along Lake Adams (07/22)

Tuesday morning and it is a beautiful one.  We are meeting Fred and Gene at the trail head for Lake Adams.  Not sure what to expect or on long of a hike we are doing.  Whatever it is will be fun.  Fred and I used to hike with the group at Rancho Rialto in Yuma.  Fred still hikes with them, I laid off last year due to injuries.

We are taking the River Trail.  This is a pretty easy hike as it is mostly a flat pine needle carpeted wide trail.  The few up hills do make me breath hard but I was able to stay up with everyone.  The views of the river are spectacular.

The roman numeral  is how they mark the kilometers on the trail.  So this is where we turned around at 11 km, so the whole hike was 22 km or 13.67 miles.  What a fun day, great company and awesome scenery.

Stopped on our way back to Chase for pizza.  We were told that Pete's has the best, unfortunately Pete's doesn't open until 4 pm, so we ate at his competitor.  OK pizza definitely not the best.

We leave for Banff Canada in the morning.  This is suppose to be a spectacular drive, I hope so.
