Monday morning we are leaving Kelowna and going to a little RV park in Chase Canada. Our friends, Fred and Marcia, also from Rancho Rialto live in Scotch Creek by Shuswap. Ivor and Rita are also coming with us. The drive from Kelowna to Chase is spectacular. The mountains are big and rugged looking. We are now in the Canadian Rockies.
Once we get parked we head over to Scotch Creek. There are several couples that will be joining us for a lunch in the club house of the park they live in. All the couples winter at Rancho Rialto. It was fun getting to see all of them. Some we remembered others we hadn't met before. They prepared a great lunch with salad and Quiche and a great desert.
We talked all afternoon getting caught up on what we all have been doing since April. After lunch we walked over to see Gene and Diane's place. They had just did an add on that is beautiful. They are in the same park as Fred and Marcia but down a ways and across the road. They are very close to Shuswap lake. Now this is a lake, we were told there is 1000 miles of shore line. Everywhere we went in that area was by shuswap lake. What a beautiful area.
Time to leave and drive back to Chase. We have plans to do a hike in the morning with Fred and Gene.
As we were driving away Ivor asked if we would like to see one of his and Rita's favorite places in this area, of course we did. We drove to SunnyBrae and up to Margaret Falls. It is worth seeing, so is the short walk up to it. The picture doesn't do it justice.
This was a perfect end to our visit with Ivor and Rita. We are looking forward to seeing them back in Yuma
