Cincinnati 09/17

Well my hopes were dashed when we woke up to very cloudy skies this morning.  I was really hoping for a sunny day.  Oh well, we will just make the best of it.
We drove over to the little community of Glendale OH trying to find a post office.  We didn't find a post office but we did find a great little community that we fell in love with.  We asked a gentleman standing by his truck if he could direct us to the post office, will the post office was closed a couple of years ago but for some reason they have not been able to get it removed for the postal service web site.  This gentleman turned out to be the city planner.  He was so nice, he gave us a short history of the area and a little tour of the town square.  This is a place I could live.  They still have some of the original gas street lights, they are so cool.
A little look at the town square
A little resting area
We were given directions to the nearest post office and went to mail a package to the grandkids.  Then we drove over to Cincinnati.  Cincinnati has a beautiful sky line and buildings.

The pictures don't do it justice.  Unfortunately that is about all we saw of Cincinnati.  There was so much road construction and so many streets closed that we could not find a place to park so we just went back to the RV park.  It seems they are putting in a light rail system like Phoenix did and that is why it is so hard to get around.

Back at the park we took the 2 mile trail around the park.  What a beautiful walk, full of trees and geese, ducks and even a Blue Heron or two.

We really have enjoyed our stay at this park and plan on returning when we can spend more time and hopefully explore Cincinnati.   We have one day left before moving on.  Hopefully it will be a sunny one.
