Austin night life (11/7)

We pick Shannon up around 10 this morning and look for some place to eat breakfast.  We at the 49 Diner, really good food.  Full we drive around Austin looking for something to do but nothing is happening until tonight so we come back to the RV park and have a nice relaxing day getting caught up on each others life's.

We to dinner at a soul food restaurant, again Shannon picked a great restaurant.  Austin has great food and to much traffic.  It takes for ever to get from one place to another and the streets are very narrow and when people park on both sides of the street almost impossible to get through.l

We we to the White Horse to listen to one of the band's Heather Rae plays in called Gumbo Ce Soir.  They play Cajun music.  We got a treat tonight because they had 3 fiddles and a squeeze box playing with the band.  One of the fiddle players was of course Heather Rae.  For those of you don't know who Heather Rae is she was married to Shannon and is still our daughter in law in our opinion.  It was so nice to see her again.

After the show we went to Ginny's Little Longhorn Saloon.  Heather Rae is playing here with the Prospectors.  Shannon used to play with this band before we joined his present band, Black Irish Texas.  The Prospectors are more of old country swing type music.  I miss seeing Shannon play with them.

We had a great night and didn't get back to the RV park until 1:30.  We both fell into bed and slept like a rock.
