What to except in the Sierra's (Alan and Nicole this is for you)
Spent the day hiking the Sierra Back country of Sequoia National Park to Heather Lake at 8,600 ft. through ankle to thigh deep snow banks. Feet got wet and frozen (of course I did not have my leather Danners on as it was 76 degrees in Three Rivers when I left at 6:00 am) and my hands were just as frozen because in Arizona we NEVER hike with gloves. The only things that kept me from getting my cold shivers (Alan can explain those) was the spectacular scenery and the thought of Alan & Nicole trudging across the Mojave
